After several days of developing this blog, finally, I am contented (for now). Sa wakas, nakuntento rin ako. Kalikot dito, kalikot doon, download ng plugin, upload ng plugin. Natutuwa ako lalo na at widgets-compatible itong template na ito ng Glued Ideas. Salamat sa mga nakaisip noon. At least, drag and drop na lang, hindi na masyadong maraming coding. Pero syempre, kinalikot ko pa rin yung codes ng konti to suit my needs.
Aside from the template design itself, there are many factors that I considered. Is it search engine friendly? Is there space where I can place some Google ads? Are the colors eye-friendly? Are the navigational links easy to find? And so on. Finally, after days of searching, I finally came up with this blog.
Here is the list of plugins I used here:
- Add Meta Tags – For adding description and keyword meta tags automatically in each post.
- Ad Rotator – For the rotating text messages on the sidebar.
- Akismet – Spam filter.
- Contact Form – For my contact page.
- Gravatars2 – For the comment gravatar.
- JAW Duplicate Widgets – For duplicating widgets.
- Permalink Redirect – For proper permalink redirection, so as to avoid duplicate contents.
- Related Posts – For showing related posts, obviously.
- Sidebar Widgets – The required plugin to enable widgets.
- Simple Tags – For easy Technorati tagging.
- WP-Useronline — For tracking the current user online.
For my template, I used the Subvert subtheme of Glued Ideas Subtle Theme.
And lastly, I would like to thank my web host, PinoyWebHosting, for giving more value for my money. Thanks for giving attention to my needs, kahit medyo makulit ako. Hehehe. 200MB disk space with 4GB bandwidth per month and 1 domain name for just Php 1450 per year. What more can I ask for?
