March 31st, 2007 by Marhgil Macuha It’s election season already and checkpoint at night is already an ordinary scene. Last night, I passed a checkpoint at Bolbok, Batangas City. Nothing extraordinary happened. They just looked at the front case (what do you call that small case in the front of the passenger’s seat where I keep my registration copies and some pirated CDs?), and upon seeing nothing but CDs, they let me go.

March 29th, 2007 by Marhgil Macuha Money out. I lost 2500 pesos. I don’t know what happened. It’s just that when I looked at my wallet to get some money last night, the money was gone. I already searched our room and it is nowhere to be found. Probably, it was lost on my way home. I really don’t know. The wallet is intact with all my ATM cards and credit cards, all that was lost was just the money. What happened? I really don’t know. March 28th, 2007 by Marhgil Macuha Amazon recently activated their Contextlink feature on their affiliate program, which is almost identical to Kontera’s Contentlink. They are indeed identical on the way they display the advertisement, where they both create a link out of your content, and make a small pop-up description once the reader hovers their mouse over the link. The only difference is that Kontera is Pay Per Click while Amazon is Pay Per Action. My question is, can they both run on the same page? Read the rest of this entry »

How do you program a modem? Do they follow a specific protocol when answering and making calls? What are these protocols? What are the rules and conditions to follow? Are these protocols universally accepted by all kinds of modem? Or do I need to recreate my codes everytime I install a new modem of different brand or manufacturer? These are the questions that I have to answer before the month of April ends. I need to create a customized application controlling a modem for the company I’m working for.
