I’ve been doing this on my textmates blog and I can say that I was successful in every forecast that I made. The technique is to think of what people will search in the future and make a post one week before it happens. How do I do this? Do I consult Madam Auring? No. It is simply common sense.
Think of what people will search next week on the search engines and make a post about it today. On the sports arena, the Floyd Mayweather vs. Oscar Dela Hoya is hot. It will be aired on May 6, Philippine time. And next week, what do you think will people start searching? Here are the keywords I can think of:
Mayweather Dela Hoya fight video
Mayweather Dela Hoya boxing results
Mayweather Dela Hoya video
Mayweather Dela Hoya controversy
One week before the fight, optimize a blog post for those keywords. You can make a fearless forecast post, and sprinkled your post with those keywords. By May 6, your blog is already indexed and is ready for the search engine traffic while other blogs who just posted about the event will still wait another 2 to 3 days before their blog gets indexed. You might not have the freshest contents on your blog, but people will swarm your blog post because search engines directed people to your blog. And do you know what people do when the blog post they landed on is outdated? They simply click on your ads. *grin*
Now, I think you see my point. Hmm, now I’m thinking of a post about Flores De Mayo.
