You Comment, I FollowSince I have a good spam control installed in this blog now (my comment box is guarded by typhoons!), I think, it’s time to give my commenters some link love. I just installed the DoFollow plugin! Yes, so, all your comments with link to your blog/website will be followed by the search engine and will help in boosting your search engine rankings! That’s my way of saying thank you for reading and commenting on this blog. The more comments you make, the more incoming links to your blog.

Now, start commenting!

That plugin is really nice. I’ve installed the same plugin to my blog last week. But because of some problems, I removed all plugins.

Maybe it’s time to put DoFollow back again.

I have no comment with the dofollow plugin but i have a comment on your giving away link love to all macuha lovers. macuha mo na ang tagumpay!

  6. gent00 Says:

  7. Meredith Says:

Very cool! At first I was thinking “no, I shouldn’t do this, it’s too risky, I’ll get spammed” …and then I noticed eli’s comment saying this will attract more commenters and increase traffic. My goal is really increasing my PR, but perhaps increasing my traffic will help? Anyway, thanks very much!

I installed it on my blogs as well. I still screen all my comments, though, because I have not wanted to install a spam blocker that requires me to download an ever-changing database.

I have been blogging about 8 months now. When I set up my blog, I used Go Daddy quick blog. I know I must switch to WordPress soon! But GoDaddy has been easy and Word Press overwhelms me whenever there is problem. Anyway, I was looking to see if I need to turn off no-follow comments so I can join in this movement - and I can’t really figure it out….any advice?

    thanks!

  54. IT Liberty Says:

I am all for it! I added the dofollow on all of my new blogs. You do have to do a bit more moderation, like you mention, but for the most part…

Lets face it, it is really other bloggers that read blogs so it is nice to share the love. I created a Choosing Wine blog and got the idea so I could get more posts.

It is nice to see others have been thinking the same way. Way to lead or “follow”?!
