Since I have a good spam control installed in this blog now (my comment box is guarded by typhoons!), I think, it’s time to give my commenters some link love. I just installed the DoFollow plugin! Yes, so, all your comments with link to your blog/website will be followed by the search engine and will help in boosting your search engine rankings! That’s my way of saying thank you for reading and commenting on this blog. The more comments you make, the more incoming links to your blog.
Now, start commenting!

That plugin is really nice. I’ve installed the same plugin to my blog last week. But because of some problems, I removed all plugins.
Maybe it’s time to put DoFollow back again.
April 12th, 2007 at 9:03 pm
I have no comment with the dofollow plugin but i have a comment on your giving away link love to all macuha lovers. macuha mo na ang tagumpay!
April 12th, 2007 at 11:24 pm
Its nice but it will be hard for you to prevent the spam
Good Luck
April 12th, 2007 at 11:35 pm
Very cool! At first I was thinking “no, I shouldn’t do this, it’s too risky, I’ll get spammed” …and then I noticed eli’s comment saying this will attract more commenters and increase traffic. My goal is really increasing my PR, but perhaps increasing my traffic will help? Anyway, thanks very much!

It’s really cool, many many bloggers are removing the noffollow attribute, i did that on mine, and it’s great, was a little increase in the comments and replies! It’s great to see a lot of people are participating in the DoFollow movement

April 16th, 2007 at 12:09 am
I installed it on my blogs as well. I still screen all my comments, though, because I have not wanted to install a spam blocker that requires me to download an ever-changing database.
April 17th, 2007 at 9:51 am
nice plug-in bro, as long as you have other plugin installed for spam comments this would be a very good plug-in, giving juice to your visitors
April 17th, 2007 at 12:59 pm

have a nice day!
April 17th, 2007 at 3:13 pm
I’d love to do the same but I’m clueless about plug-ins. How do I put it in my generic Blogger blogs?
April 17th, 2007 at 3:55 pm
Okay,I found a tutorial to do this for New Blogger. It’s at http://betabloggerfordummies.blogspot.com/2007/03/remove-nofollow-attribute-on-comments.html Very easy for a clueless non-techie like me. Thanks so much for the heads up on this! Very, very much appreciated indeed!

Thanks sa suggestion na ‘to bro.

I have been blogging about 8 months now. When I set up my blog, I used Go Daddy quick blog. I know I must switch to WordPress soon! But GoDaddy has been easy and Word Press overwhelms me whenever there is problem. Anyway, I was looking to see if I need to turn off no-follow comments so I can join in this movement – and I can’t really figure it out….any advice?
thanks!

Spammers are getting very creative these days. You never know what will hit you. Btw, Is the “nofollow” attribute enabled by default on Wordpress?
June 6th, 2007 at 7:48 am
Thanks for the tip – I’ll be installing the plugin asap!

September 28th, 2007 at 2:54 pm

April 14th, 2008 at 6:50 am
i forgot to tell… at gold art i don’t have even half of your traffic but from now on i allow follow links and i hope this will change
April 29th, 2008 at 11:28 am
I am all for it! I added the dofollow on all of my new blogs. You do have to do a bit more moderation, like you mention, but for the most part…
Lets face it, it is really other bloggers that read blogs so it is nice to share the love. I created a Choosing Wine blog and got the idea so I could get more posts.
It is nice to see others have been thinking the same way. Way to lead or “follow”?!
August 3rd, 2008 at 2:30 pm
hi! i am with “u comment i follow” movement too!
sincerely,

You sure know the Law of Giving and Reciprocity.
I am now a fan of your advocacy and will implement it on my blogs/websites that have comments enabled. The one above does not but will download the plugin for my sports and other blogs.
Thank you so much for your never-ending sharing of blessings!
Regards,
Richard

thanks for the free link. you have been an inspiration tothose who want to blog successfully. i am still learning and once i get the hang of it I will alo install DoFollow in all of my blogs!
January 15th, 2009 at 2:39 pm
I guess every blog could be a do follow, owners could monitor the comment and just delete those comments that they think doesn’t contribute anything to the discussion, Personally I do read blogs whether its a do or no follow I try to leave a comment when I appreciate the post, learn something from it and want to add something.
May 21st, 2009 at 12:24 am
Do follow is the way to go. Everyone should convert, it would make the blogging world a better place
October 22nd, 2009 at 9:57 pm
