Spreading The Good News About Blogging

For the past few days here in Hong Kong, blogging and making money online have been always the topic during our lunch break. It’s not that I always want to talk about it, it’s just that when they found out how much I am really earning on Google Adsense, (they saw my Google Adsense account when I was checking it on the apartment) they all become interested in blogging. Who doesn’t want an extra income, anyway?

So far, Emilie is still contemplating on which niche she’s going to blog about. She’s an AS/400 expert, and I suggested that she starts blogging about it. Will it be a good niche? Maybe, because even my AS/400 category on this blog are getting hits from search engines even if it contains nothing but trash. 🙂

Ria already started her blog. But she’s not yet revealing it to us. Maybe, she’s still doing some on-page optimization and ad optimization on her site. Maybe, when she’s already contented with what her blog looks, she’ll finally reveal her blog. I told her that I’ll give her some link-love from my blogs.

And Richard, my Chinese officemate who has been blogging in Chinese for a couple of months, decided to blog in English now. Blogging in English will give him a wider audience and a better search engine exposure. Plus, it will help him improve his English writing skills. Also, if you are using blogspot in blogging, I don’t think it’s a good idea to blog in Chinese because China blocks blogspot blogs. China is blocking his target audience. Check out his blog here.

Like what I always say on this blog, making money using Google Adsense is not a get-rich-quick scheme. You have to be patient. You have to invest time, money (for internet connection) and effort for a couple of months (3 to 6 months) optimizing your blog before the money comes. Just commit yourself in doing it, and when the money comes, it just keeps on coming and keeps on getting bigger every month. 😉
