Ok, I’m breaking my hiatus because I’m alone in my room now and I have nothing to do. I am currently staying at room 1705 at Vienna International Hotel, a four star hotel in Shenzhen, China.
It was a very tiring day. This is the first time that I’ve been to China. And what can I say? Most people here don’t know English (I can’t even find an English channel on the television!), so, I have to be fully dependent on my officemate, Richard. He’s a Chinese.
In the office, we spent the whole day troubleshooting a problem. Thank God we finally found the solution before the day ended. Tomorrow, it’s time to fully integrate the program I made for their modem. I hope, it finally works.
After office hours, we went for dinner to a place I don’t know. Hehehe. I just followed Richard. We went to a place where we met his sister and cousin. Richard gave them his pasalubong, dried mangoes he bought from Robinson’s Place Manila. And then, we took dinner in a Chinese restaurant. I just asked them to order me any food as long as it is not spicy. They ordered rice with beef and egg for me. After taking dinner, we went to a supermarket via bus. There, I bought some bread, water and orange juice so that I have something to eat tomorrow morning (the food in the hotel is quite expensive!). After buying those things, we went back to the hotel.
I’m posting this via internet connection provided in my room. It costs RMB 10 per 1 hour. That’s around 70 pesos I think. What can I do? It’s better to blog here than to watch television programs I don’t understand. Anyway, I have allowance that can pay the additional bills.
That’s all for now.
