I signed-up with ClickAider yesterday after reading it on Silkenhut. Now, I’ve got some data to analyze.
Looking at the logs, the tool simply tracks all advertisement clicks and their whereabouts. On my logs, I see that it tracks Adsense and Amazon clicks. It answers the following questions: How many clicks happened in a specified period of time? Where are these clicks coming from? What are their IP addresses? From which country are they? How did they reach my site, referral, direct or search engines? Which search engines? What keywords did they search that generates the click? From which page did they click the ads? Which ad format did they click? And many more!
As I see it, this tool can really help you defend yourself if Google suddenly banned your Adsense account for click fraud. You can show them where these clicks are coming from and have a proof that these are not your fault. You can also report to them right away if you see some click fraud behavior on your site, like tons of clicks coming from the same IP address everyday.
The tool is easy to install on your site, simply copy and paste some javascript codes before the closing body tag and you are all set. It’s just like setting up the tracking code for Google Analytics.
