Yes, finally, I was able to upgrade this blog to Wordpress 2.3.1. It took me more than an hour to finish everything. Reinstalled some new plugin versions and accepted the fact that linkblock widget doesn’t work anymore. I can’t find one that could replace it.

It took me more than one hour because I need to replace my Sidebar Widget with Sidebar Module and followed all the steps written here carefully. Then, I have to put each item on the sidebar back to their original place. So far, everything works fine now. Kindly inform me if you find some features not working as before.

After upgrading this blog, the next step is to move to a new web host. I already purchased a new one on Dreamhost. With 500GB disk space and 5 TB bandwidth (5TB = 5000GB), consuming all that bandwidth in a single month will mean that I’m already a millionaire in Adsense. Hehehe. I’ll move within this week. Hey, if you want to purchase a Dreamhost account, use MACUHA as the promo code and you’ll get $80 discount, promise. ;)

Todo na ito. Kinarir na talaga ang blogging. Hehehe.

    Yea, I still don’t know about making the upgrade. Everything I’ve heard points to the process being a giant pain in the a$$

  2. Lilah Says:

    Why don’t you just use the Wordpress Automatic Upgrade plug in? It Automatically upgrades your Wordpress installation.
    Makes my life easier ;)

    @mcangeli… yeah, it was indeed a pain in the a$$.

    @lilah… i actually used fantastico’s single click upgrade. I upgraded from 2.2.1 to 2.3.1. The upgrade broken my sidebar plugin, that’s why it took me more time to finish it.

    @charles.. ok. good luck :D
