I withdraw my Paypal money to my BDO account last Monday. I used the bank code provided by Paypal on their official bank code list.
Now, the money is already on my BDO bank account. It just took 5 days. Here are the transaction screen shots.
Paypal Withdrawal Screen Shot
As you can see, there’s a difference of Php 200.00. I think, BDO deducted it as a transaction fee. I did not bother asking.
So, as a conclusion, I can withdraw my Paypal money to my BDO bank account without hassles. How about you? What’s your experience with Paypal withdrawal to your local bank account?

Hmmmm I think I should encourage my aunt in the States to send me money via Paypal para makapanood ako ng mga concerts ngayong 2008. Heheheh
February 9th, 2008 at 10:37 am
February 9th, 2008 at 2:38 pm
Right now I am still enjoying withdrawing thru my Crdit card. But I believe when I go vacation I will try to create account to BDO or Metrobank..
Good tip
February 12th, 2008 at 3:38 pm
thanks for sharing your story. ive been researching on the best way to withdraw my paypal with the least deductions.
i understand that paypal charges free for withdrawals 7k pesos and up so i guess the 200 discrepancy served as BDO’s fee.
so do you advise to withdraw via BDO or EON (have no idea with eon’s fees and been hearing bad experiences from bloggers lately)?
February 12th, 2008 at 4:00 pm
@iRonnie… I have no experience with EON card coz I don’t have one. So, I can’t advise you which one is better. I think, the 200-peso charge and 5 day waiting time is already ok for me.
February 15th, 2008 at 7:22 am
Congrats, Marhgil! (Nice meeting you at the HSMnG)
Am curious, though: Does your BDO account name match your Paypal account name exactly? I’m thinking kasi of using a BDO joint account, but am concerned that since the Paypal account name is an individual, there might be some transfer issues.
Thanks!
February 15th, 2008 at 6:29 pm
@ManuelV.. Nice meeting you too. About your question, yes, my account name exactly matches my BDO account name. I don’t know of any case on using joint account yet. You’ll get 250 pesos fine if the bank returns your Paypal money, i think.
February 19th, 2008 at 6:27 pm
Hello po
(
I tried to verify my account using my BDO ATM card since okay ang debit card kaso denied pa rin. Please help.
February 21st, 2008 at 4:31 pm
Hi. If you’re wondering po.. sa yugatech ko nakita itong website mo.
Anyway, ask ko lang po, may 200 deduction parin kaya sa BDO if ang iwiwidraw lang is, lets say, $25? We tried calling BDO, hindi daw sila accredited ng Paypal.
February 26th, 2008 at 7:01 pm
yeah, I just called BDO hotline a while ago, wala pa daw silang facility ng paypal.. how come?!
February 27th, 2008 at 5:00 pm
i opened a BDO atm account last week. i decided to use it instead of EON. i think BDO have a better customer and banking facility.
February 29th, 2008 at 11:26 am
@ ayie: Same thing happened to me, I used my BDO Int’l ATM PayPass. It says Debit card sya. When I entered my info there (Also verified my address on my savings account), here’s what I got after entering my Debit card (ATM card w/ master card logo):
“This credit card has been denied by the bank that issued your credit card. For details on why your card was denied, please contact your credit card issuer’s customer service department. Or, you may want to try adding a different credit card.”
Can you help me on this? Do i need to sign on BDO Online Banking service to withdraw my money on paypal? Thanks
February 29th, 2008 at 11:44 am
@Ayie… i tried using the international BDO ATM card before on verification, at denied rin ako. So, I just used my HSBC credit card for verification. After getting verified, you can already withdraw your Paypal funds on any local banks in the Philippines. Just use the correct bank code.
@Jhun… you need to first verify your Paypal account. BDO ATM card is denied. You can use other option such as Visa credit cards, or the EON debit card. After verifying, you can already withdraw your funds to any bank accounts. It’s not necessary to sign in to BDO Online Banking. It’s just easier to track when you have online banking
February 29th, 2008 at 1:27 pm
@marhgil : that’s what im trying to do, to get verified but it leads me into the registration of debit/credit cards. What if I dont have other cards? Do I really need a CC for this? I thought this BDO ATM Paypass is a Debit card, bakit na ayaw pa?
February 29th, 2008 at 1:49 pm
@Jhun… I don’t know kung bakit ayaw tanggapin yung BDO ATM Paypass. So far, sa mga nagverify, they either use Visa credit cards or the EON debit card. If you don’t have CC, the EON debit card is the option, 350 lang daw ang annual fee.
February 29th, 2008 at 2:01 pm
EON debit card? where can I avail one? is that a union bank account? thanks
February 29th, 2008 at 2:40 pm
@Jhun… yup, that’s from Union Bank.
February 29th, 2008 at 3:21 pm
another noob question at Paypal: In adding debet/credit cards, It has the Firstname & Lastname fields, so I entered my Firstname (e.g. Juan) and Lastname (e.g. Cruz), WHERE should I put my Middle Initial? sa bank account ko kc nakalagay yung complete name ko (e.g. Juan X. Cruz). Diba dapat same name ang Paypal at Bank account? thank you for the prompt reply.
February 29th, 2008 at 4:39 pm
@Jhun… you don’t have to put your middle initial, just make sure that your First and Last name are accurate.
February 29th, 2008 at 5:47 pm
@Marhgil: Thank you very much for that info. Anyway, I might apply na lang for
Unionbank’s EON Visa Electron
https://www.unionbankph.com/content.asp?paramID=AMZZZZZZZZ
Yan po yung EON debit card nila diba? Ayaw ko na kasing mag credit-card eh.
Thanks again
March 13th, 2008 at 11:41 pm
It’s already 13 days since my paypal withdrawal and up to now I still haven’t received the money in my local bank which is BDO. I’m a bit worried cause it’s 300$. Can someone tell me what to do with regards to my paypal withdrawal?
March 18th, 2008 at 1:50 am
(muzta na po kuya marhgil…)
i withdrawn just $30 on this day (march 18, 2008)… it says that i have to wait 5-7 days for processing… i cant wait to see how it works…
by the way… i used my RCBC Saving Account there…
March 23rd, 2008 at 11:59 am
Hello Marhgil, Good day!
Ask lang po ako… in adding a bank account, yung account number ba i-input is the 16-digit number found in front of my BDO ATM Card? Or the actual Account Number given by the bank which is only 10 digits? Medjo nalilito lang ako, nakalagay kasi dun sa Account Number input box is 1-16 digits… ’sensya na…
Thanks in advance!
March 23rd, 2008 at 12:28 pm
@Ferdinand… you can contact BDO for status. kung wala pa rin, try following it up on paypal.
@Grace… use the actual Account Number given by the bank, the 10-digit account number. yung 16 digit number kasi is just your atm card number.
March 26th, 2008 at 9:04 pm
hi po.. paano bayang mag withdraw nang money sa paypal going to your bank account sa BDO, eto kasi eh.yong nan doon na ako sa withdraw form page nang paypal tapos enter ko po yong money na e withdraw ko. tapos after noon. ni redirect ako doon sa “Add Credit or Debit Card” tapos may warning message na “You need to enter the 4-digit Paypal code form your debit or credit card statement before you can withdraw funds to your bank account.” ano ba to.. it means hindi pa na process ang withdrawal ko.
Need talaga ko ung help nyo..
Thanx.
March 28th, 2008 at 9:12 am
at last, I got verified na, thanks to EON cyberaccount, nakakuha ako ng debit card so hindi na ko kailangang gumamit ng CC at dito na din mismo sa EON ako magwiwithdraw. na charge ako ng P50.
here’s my ‘test’ transaction.
http://aycu05.webshots.com/image/49364/2003849447507905856_fs.jpg
@Carmelo Roda: you need to get the 4 digit expanded use code from your debit/cc statement. in my EON account, I just called the customer service after my application (almost 1 week [holy week]) and successfully got verified.
March 29th, 2008 at 12:16 am
@Carmelo Roda… tama si Jhun. before you can withdraw your money, you need to be a verified member first. And you can only be verified if you submit your credit card or debit card. Then, they will debit $1.95 from your card as a sample transaction, then, you’ll have to wait for your credit card bill, andun na nakasulat yung 4 digit Paypal code na kailangan mong input to verify your account. After that, since verified ka na, you can already withdraw to any local bank accounts you have, as long as sa iyo nakapangalan yung bank account. hope it’s clear now.
@Jhun… congrats! and good luck on your test transaction. Mine took 5 days, ilang days kaya yang sa iyo bago macredit? abangan.
April 1st, 2008 at 5:43 pm
Thank you, Jhun & Marhgil
ok; i will just wait my bill to come and check my paypal code.
April 1st, 2008 at 7:40 pm
April 2nd, 2008 at 8:19 am
@Marhgil: I got credited yesterday (April 1)
April 6th, 2008 at 10:10 pm
April 10th, 2008 at 8:47 pm
@Marhgil and @Jhun i just get me paypal code and now my paypal account is verified hoping it will be credited to my BDO account within this week.
thanx all
April 11th, 2008 at 8:43 am
@ jo: Applied my EON online and got my card after a week, no other requirements except for the IDs and a little amount. i deposited 1k and paid annual fee for less than 500.
April 14th, 2008 at 10:06 pm
thank you jhun. is there any other debit card accepted by paypal?
April 17th, 2008 at 8:26 pm
hey @Marhgil and @Jhun i’ve just yesterday april 16 my paypal money was credited to my saving account in BDO. heheehe im so happy. indeed, it calms me down.
April 18th, 2008 at 5:05 pm
Guys, I’m new here sa paypal transactions…. I need to withdraw money to my BDO account. Does this mean that before that, verification muna? As in i-enter muna credit card information? LIke if my HSBC Visa ako, pero sa BDO ako magwiwithdraw? Tama ba?
Help please…
April 18th, 2008 at 5:06 pm
Guys, I’m new to using paypal. I have an HSBC Visa then yun ang gagamitin ko to verify my account right? Then is it OK to withdraw my paypal money from my BDO account?
Tama po ba?
April 18th, 2008 at 7:02 pm
April 19th, 2008 at 4:51 am
Thanks Carmelo Roda! What about EON..I’m thinking about applying.. does it take long? And which one po yung cyberaccount or yung VIsa Electron? Wala ako alam sa online banking…>__< basta what I hope to do is to withdraw money from paypal as soon as possible… mas mabilis yung EON right kesa kung mag-HSBC pa ko?
what you think po?
April 22nd, 2008 at 7:36 pm
I dont know kasi about EON, Please just ask @jhun.
April 24th, 2008 at 7:20 pm
can somebody help me?
i am opening a paypal account today and im now adding my bdo atm debit card.. i was linking the card but got an error message when i inputed my 10digit passbook number rather than the ATM card number..i used the 10 digit because i read above that i should use the 10 digit number on the passbook as posted my marhgil..so do i rather input the 16digit ATM number??ö
April 24th, 2008 at 8:02 pm

June 13th, 2008 at 10:05 pm

June 20th, 2008 at 11:05 am
June 26th, 2008 at 9:12 pm
Unionbank lang talaga walang problema?
June 29th, 2008 at 11:48 am

August 3rd, 2008 at 10:22 am
My Paypal account is activated. It took me 10 days to be exact.
This is what you do:
1. Apply for a CyberEon account to your nearest Union Bank branch. Apply personally because their online application is not working. Bring 2 valid I.Ds.
2. After getting you EON card (one week after your application), pay 350 for annual fee and deposit additional 100 (or 1.95USD) to Unionbank. The 100.00 deposit is for Paypal’s verification fee which will be returned once your Paypal code has been given to you.
3. Your EON card will be activated 24 hours after you personally get it from your bank. After it is activated, link your EON card to Paypal account. The CCV code is the last three numbers on the back of your card.
4. Check after two or three days if there was a deduction of 89.00+ to your account. Go your nearest ATM. If there is a deduction, it means that your Paypal code is already ready.
5. Call 84-186 or 8418600 and ask a Customer Service for your Expanded Use Number (or in short, your Paypal code).
6. Enter the EXPUSE code on your paypal account. A few seconds later, your Paypal is now verified. You can now withdraw funds to your bank account.
Reminders:
1. Do not use other debit cards because I think UnionBank is the only debit card authorized by paypal. if you don’t want to go through the hassle of applying for CyberEon account, you can use your credit cards with Mastercard or Visa logos.on.
2. Before you link your card to Paypal, make sure that your account is already activated.
Just be patient. Nakakainip pero once you follow the steps I mentioned, smooth naman ang transaction.
August 15th, 2008 at 12:14 pm
@Reservoir Dogs: Thanks so much. This is the clearest set of instructions (plus the most recent) that I’ve read on the matter.
I’m up for claiming my eon card later. Malinaw na ang lahat.
Thankshu Thankshu!
August 20th, 2008 at 12:39 am
Yes, You can certainly Withdraw from PAYPAL to BDO….But what bdo says is that it is not an official transaction that they can trace in case your Paypal money does not reach your BDO account.
SO NOBODY can REALLY help you from BDO if your MONEY does not REACH YOU!!!!

October 24th, 2008 at 4:18 pm
I just called up BDO today and they said they have been encountering a lot of problems with PayPal transactions and complaint from customers. They said they don’t have an official tie up with PayPal.
With that information, I think it is up to you if you want to risk your money.
As for me, I’ll try to find more information as to the best way to withdraw fund from PayPal.
Good luck to everyone!
October 24th, 2008 at 4:21 pm
I never had a problem withdrawing my money from Paypal to BDO. Already withdrew several times without hassles.

January 31st, 2009 at 10:06 pm
hello! i’d like to ask how you were able to receive paypal payments thru BDO? coz i have a BDO debit card, and i tried to register it, but my account is still unverfied. i also tried adding my BDO bank account, but it still isn’t verified…hope you can help me with this one… ^__^
February 2nd, 2009 at 12:12 pm
hello! i had entered the 16 digit number of my BDO card, not the 10 digit account number, on my withdrawal january 31, then now it says status completed..
does it mean na pumasok na un sa account ko at makukuha ko na after 5-7 days?
February 2nd, 2009 at 12:21 pm
@ Ellie, debit card not accepted on verification, only for withdrawal.
to verify:
-Use credit visa/mastercard or
-Apply for a CyberEon account to your nearest Union Bank branch or
-buy virtual credit card (VCC)
I verified my paypal by buying VCC online. I payed it using my paypal account and i got verified less than 24 hours.
Then withdraw your account using your BDO debit card.

Hi, ask ko lng po if pwde i add ang BDO account as bank account sa paypal and EON visa card naman ang ipaverify ko sa credit card sa paypal?
April 1st, 2009 at 11:47 pm
@jomajah… yup. pwede yan. kapag verified na kasi paypal mo, pwede na kahit anong bank account ang iadd mo for withdrawal.
April 3rd, 2009 at 12:17 am
@ Marhgil hi there, everyone is asking how to withdraw from paypal, but i wanna ask how to add funds from local bank or debit to paypal.. is it possible with BDO ATM/Debit card or EON card? thanks
April 3rd, 2009 at 5:11 pm
@von… if you are already a verified paypal user with an enrolled credit card/debit card, you can already use it. You can pay even if you have zero Paypal balance. If you have zero Paypal balance, your credit card/debit card will be charged for the transaction. If you still have Paypal balance, it will use it first then charge your credit card for the remaining amount.
April 4th, 2009 at 3:18 am
@marhgil thanks for the reply but which enrolled debit card? which debit card did you use to be verified? BDO’s ATM Card?
April 8th, 2009 at 4:46 pm
If you receive payment from Paypal in US$, do you use your BDO peso account or US$ account also? Kindly advise. Thanks…
April 8th, 2009 at 7:41 pm
Hello Marghil… thank you for posting this..Ask ko lang, ung P200 charge from BDO, fixed ba un or certain percentage depending on the amount withdrawn? I am very very glad that i have found your post. Kasi i am bothered about adding bank account sa paypal. I will get back to you for sure kasi this week i am planning to add my bank account info sa paypal ko, wala kasi ako credit card..hope you don’t mind. thank you talaga…

Hello Marghil. I tried opening a Paypal account, pero it insists on linking my credit card or debit card to be a verified user. When I tried to link my BDO debit card it didn’t work, so I tried another debit card pero ganun pa rin. I don’t have a credit card. Does that mean I can’t be verified and withdraw from my Paypal account even if i have already linked my bank account? my profile is still tagged as unverified because of a missing debit/credit card link and confirmation. please advice thanks.

Hi. I am intending to withdraw Paypal funds via my BDO account, but I am confused as to which #s exactly I should input in my account file…because BDO gave me a 9-digit Routing Number (021000089), but then apparantly the Paypal published Bank Code is 010530667… so which is which Sir?
I’d appreciate the help/info regarding this. Thank you.

First Name Middle Name Last Name

1. for Unionbank users.. You can use your EON-card for verification process. This EON card is a debit card and you can also withdraw your funds from PAYPAL…
2. Since you are now verified, using a debit card (EON card or your preferred CREDIT CARD) , you can now transfer your funds to your BANK ACCOUNT… BDO, BPI, METROBANK, etc.. PAYPAL has the list of supported banks in the philippines, it also contains the BANK CODE, which is used to LINK YOUR PAYPAL AND YOUR BANK ACCOUNT.
3. EON CARD is again a debit card.. It is not a BANK ACCOUNT (please update if EON card is now considered a BANK ACCOUNT).. Of course you can use EON for verification, AND, you can as well WITHDRAW your funds from your paypal account to this EON CARD..
Wondering what’s the difference????
If you withdraw your funds to a BANK ACCOUNT.. it is free for P7000 and above.. and P50 for P6999 and below…
If you withdraw your funds to a DEBIT CARD or CREDIT CARD.. it will cost you P250.00
4. EON CARD has an annual fee of P350… almost P30 / month .. P1 / day ^_^
5. EON CARD DOESN’t have any MINIMUM BALANCE REQUIREMENT unlike some ATM CARDS.
6. For those who have SMART MONEY.. Smart Money has a MASTERCARD LOGO.. and it is classified as a DEBIT CARD just like EON CARD.. So you can also use smart money for verification processes.. but….
There are two kinds of smart money number… those starts at 5577 ( also known as 5577-series) and the other one is the 5299 series..
5577 series.. can be used to withdraw funds FROM your PAYPAL to your SMART MONEY but you cannot use 5577 series of smart money as a primary source of funds.. coz it doesn’t have AN OUTGOING TRANSACTION online feature as of now. (please call Smart money hotline 15177)
5299 series is working in both ways.. incoming and outgoing. i mean, you can transfer funds from paypal to smart money.. and from smart money to paypal..
but please call the hotline to verify coz one CSR told me that smart money is doing their best to make 5577 series eligible for the online outgoing feature.
