Googel = Google = Googol

Eli found an interesting keyword today. Highly searched all year round, with less competition. And the magic keyword, Googel.

Interesting enough, I found out the Googel.com redirects to Google.com and checking the whois information, I found that the domain is really owned by Google.com.

Bill Gates GoogelSo, Googel is really Google misspelled. And do you know that when Sergey Brin and Larry Page were thinking of a name for the search engine they created and when they agreed that it should be Google, they actually misspelled it too? They were actually thinking of the word googol. Here’s the story.

So googel is a word that is a misspelling of Google which is also a misspelling of the word googol. Too many misspellings.

So, don’t punish your kids when they misspell a word. They might become the next Sergey Brin and Larry Page. LOL!

  12. Well , I reached your page searching Googel in Google πŸ™‚ and you are the last listing . Actually Your title Googel = Google = Googol attracted me to this page . Though it was the actual name of Google , i don’t think there would be enough searches for this keyword other than typos . Btw , i liked macuha.com .
