Conjugal Property Talks

My girlfriend bought a Nokia N95 8GB last month. Since we are getting married in the near future, our conversation went something like this:

Me: So, after our wedding, that cellphone will be mine. Since everything that’s mine will be yours and everything that’s yours will be mine. Right? Conjugal property, right?

GF: Yup. And your car will be mine too!

Me: Ok. No problem. So, you’ll continue paying the remaining installment amount for the car, right? Hehe.

GF: Sure. Your Adsense earnings can pay for it. I mean, OUR Adsense earnings. Hahaha!

Me: Ok. Basta akin yang cellphone mo. 🙂

Of course, we’re just joking around. But if you came here looking for conjugal property information, this article from Kasal.com is a nice read. 😉

  1. LOL. Nice one. But trust me, when you do get married, conjugal property becomes a more serious matter… trust me, I know. hehehe.

  2. By the time you get married, that phone may be outdated already. He he . . .

  3. Marghil: It’s not termed as “conjugal” anymore. Under the Family code, it’s called “Absolute Community of Property” In this property regime, whats hers is yours and whats yours is hers. Unlike in Conjugal Partnership of gains where you only share the “Fruits” of what you brought in the marriage 🙂 Cheers !

  4. @Zigfred… thanks for the input attorney! wala pa talaga akong masyadong alam dyan. 😉
