The Philippines has an E-jeepney, a battery-powered jeepney running on the streets of Makati.
On the other side of the world, there is Myers Motors NmG, a battery-powered car (although they classified it as a motorcycle). NmG stands for no more gas. They claim that it can run as fast as 76+ mph, that’s around 122+ kph if my calculation is correct. This is already in mass production and some people are already using it now. It looks cute. It is fast. It is environment-friendly.
However, what I don’t like about it is that it is only 1-seater. Good for single people, but for a family man, a trip to the mall with your wife and kids means that you either walk or rent another car.
Check this Youtube video for more details.
