The Batangas Gas Prices

It happened two weeks ago. While in Batangas, I noticed that the Super Unleaded gasoline of Shell increased from Php 31.xx to Php 35.xx.

There was no news of the price increase that night on why there’s an increase. I thought it was a nationwide increase. On our way back to Manila, I found out that the prices of gasoline in Manila did not increase.

Last weekend, the price of unleaded gasoline in Batangas was still at Php 35.xx. I checked the other gasoline stations, Petron and Caltex, and both of them have the same Php 35.xx price for the unleaded gasoline. So, instead of buying gasoline in Batangas before going back to Manila which I usually do, I changed my habit. I am now gassing-up at Shell SLEX before going back to Batangas because of the 4-peso difference.

However, my fellow kababayans there have no choice. They are tied to an expensive Php 35.xx price. What happened? Ano gang nangyare? I think, Governor Vi should ask these oil companies to explain why there’s such a difference?

Mas mahal by almost 3-4 pesos.

  3. Baka dahil province sya kaya mas mahal, transpo ng gasoline from manila to batangas kaya meron patong.

  4. @Eligio… nasa Batangas kasi ang refinery, yung gasolina, from Batangas to Manila itinatransport. dapat mas mura.

  5. gas stations that are 100+ kilometers away from the bulk station sell the gas higher. but sometimes, nagiging mahal ang prices gahaman ang mga mayari ng stations na yan kahit malapit lang sa source.

  6. That is really unfair. Somebody should force them to charge fair prices.
But still, I am sure that the gazoline is much cheaper than here in Sweden.

  8. in some areas in metro manila, gas stations are priced 2 pesos higher than the stations in edsa. for example, the whole stretch of e.rodriguez sr. ave. sells e10 at 32.50/liter while gas stations in san juan and ortigas ave sell it at 29.75/liter. this is an obvious proof that gasoline owners really wants profits more than their counterparts in other areas, sobrang gahaman. and yes, the gasoline refineries are in batangas, yun sa pandacan, manila storage na lang.

  10. ika nga’y “ganyan talaga buhay”… weather weather

LOL

  12. gas is cheaper in paranaque. but i saw a much cheaper price in one gas station in pasay.

  13. Much worst sa ibaan, lasa ko’y nasa 8 pesos na mas mahal ang gas kesa sa Lipa, grabe kaya never ako nagpaGas dun, i always make sure na makakabalik pa ako ng manila without refueling bago umuwi sa ibaan hehe
