September 5th, 2009 by Marhgil President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo declared September 7 as a non-working holiday. It was declared as a national day of mourning for Iglesia Ni Cristo Executive Minister Erano “Ka Erdy” Manalo.

September 1st, 2009 by Marhgil I’ve known him simply as Ka Erdy. Every Iglesia Ni Cristo knew him and called him as Ka Erdy. Yeah, we call everyone inside the church as “Ka {name here}”, whether you are an ordinary member, a deacon or even an Executive Minister. Because we are brothers and sisters in the eyes of God, equal and no favoritism. Of course, when someone mentioned “Ka Erdy”, we already knew he is talking about the Executive Minister, and no one else.
