September 7, 2009 is a Non-Working Holiday

President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo declared September 7 as a non-working holiday. It was declared as a national day of mourning for Iglesia Ni Cristo Executive Minister Erano “Ka Erdy” Manalo.

Ka Erdy’s interment will be held on that same day at 12:00 noon at the Tabernacle located near the Central Temple.

Expect heavy traffic on that day not only on Commonwealth Avenue but also on SLEX, NLEX and other major thoroughfares. I’m sure, thousands of INCs from different parts of Luzon will come to the Central Temple on that day.

  2. It was just a respect for the leader of INC but hope that they will do the same thing to other religious leaders and not just because that the election is approaching. I didn’t noticed that they declared a non-working holiday when Cardinal Sin died and buried.
