MTRCB suspended Showtime after Rosanna Roces‘ insensitive comments about the teachers as “repeaters”. Showtime was given a 20-day preventive suspension by the board.
Osang was removed as a judge of the show by ABS-CBN last January 8 as part of ABS-CBN’s self-regulation.

Showtime is really entertaining, especially Vice Ganda. I just hope that ABS-CBN learned their lesson from this and stop getting irresponsible and pasaway na judges in the future.

Regarding sa suspension unfair naman sa part ng abs-cbn na i.suspend ng 20 days y0ng sh0w..maxad0ng mtagal. Anyways, abs should not suffer that long susension dahil iyong criticisms ng judge doesn’t employ the opinions of the entity.:-)

wala nmn masama sa sinabi ni Osang.. repeaters doesn’t only mean that they failed their degree and performed extra work to get a passing grade.. it only means that teachers are just trying to repeat what they were taught and when they are asked unexpectedly then the teachers should stay honest to admit na they don’t know the answer.. they will tell their students that they will get back to them regarding the answer.. a classroom interaction is a two-way learning environment..i think her honest comment was just distasteful to listen but it brings out a real debatable topic that really needed to be said.. this is the reason why our school system is failing kasi puro lang spoon-feeding ang classroom.. students also has to question what they are learning bec teachers are also human and not a computer-internet that they would know everything although they should be knowledgeable in their teaching subject… don’t get me wrong, I owe my learnings from my teacher..
