I can’t believe I paid to watch commercials! Yeah, they put a little story in it, to make it a movie. But the movie looks like a bunch of commercials rolled into one, sprinkled with a little story to make it a movie. Imagine, how many products did they advertise? Cebuana Lhuiller, Jollibee Chicken Barbecue, Charmee, Globe Tattoo, Selecta Milk, Extreme Magic Sing, Video City, Island Cove, Belo Essentials Facial Wash. They did not just put them in the background. It was an in-your-face advertising. It’s not funny. Really.

With that much advertising, they should have made this movie for free. I’m sure, they will still profit from it.

Recommendation? Don’t watch it! Just stay at home and watch commercials. Then watch Maala-ala Mo Kaya. It’s a better experience than watching this crap.

So, what’s my experience? Well, since I was really clueless, I can’t understand the movie on its first few minutes. What’s happening? Nakakalito. Why is he on this place and later on the other place? Why are they sleeping, waking up from a dream, and then waking up again? So, they are dreaming that they are dreaming?

I just began understanding the movie when that girl from Juno entered the scene. Well, since she’s a new recruit, they have to explain everything to her, about the dreams, the totem, the kick, everything. Oh, the imagination of humans are really endless. Imagine, they imagine that in the future, we can enter into someone’s dream and learn about his secrets. Or in this movie’s case, plant some idea into his subconscious by entering into his dreams. And you can dream that you are dreaming that you are dreaming and dreaming? Or you are dreaming that you are on someone else’s dream and on that dream, you are also on someone else’s dream and so on…

I’m not sure if I fully understand the movie after watching it. The ending even gives us a puzzle. Did the top stop spinning or not? If it did not stop, it implies that the whole movie is just another dream and Mal actually wakes up when she jumped off the building.

Anyway, I think, I better buy its DVD so that I can read the subtitle to completely understand it. Googling about the movie, you’ll see people debating about it too.

My recommendation, watch it! It’s like the Matrix movie of this generation. But better on many levels.

It’s a story of a fictional man, Benjamin Button, who gets younger everyday. His life from the day he was born till the day he died was shown on this 2-hour-45-minute movie. Curiosity will keep you on your seats till the end.

I enjoyed watching this on the first hour while Benjamin was still old acting like a child but I get bored later.

This new Will Smith movie is action-packed. Imagine Superman, subtract the superhero costume, add some beer, some bad attitude and you got Hancock. Basically, the movie centered on solving Hancock’s identity crisis. Who is he? Why does he have that super power? And why is he an a$$hole? And turning an a$$hole superhero into a real superhero that people love.

You’ll see Hancock solving crimes and saving people, fighting bad guys the ugly way. There’s no big antagonist in this movie. You’ll not see Hancock fighting a villain with a super power and evil motive on this movie. Just fighting crimes and finally making people love him and solving his identity crisis.

I give them 3 thumbs up (including 1 in my foot) for coming up with a movie of an a$$hole superhero.

I just saw the movie! As expected, the viewer will hate Professor Umbridge. I’ve read the book, so, I already know the story. I just want to see how they presented it. Well, as usual, you cannot put the whole book in a 2 hour movie without removing some scenes. Anyway, the movie is still well done. I still like Hermione, but the weird Luna Lovegood looks good in this movie, not as horrendous as I think as what the book had described her.

Recommendation? If you are a Harry Potter fan and you are following the series, watch it. If you don’t know about Harry Potter, you’ll not understand the movie, better watch the first 4 movies first.

Expelliarmus! Stupify! Expecto Patronus! You’ll hear a lot of this in the movie.

Warning: Spoilers. Don’t read if you haven’t seen the movie yet. Or read it if you want to anyway.

Well, just what I said on the title, it’s like an FPJ movie. A hero against all his enemies. All their bullets will not hit him, and if they hit him, it will not be lethal. All their plans will fail. And he will succeed with his plan. Remember Panday? Partida? And another movie which I can’t remember the title where FPJ was hunted by all his enemies in a sugarcane farm? Well, Die Hard 4.0 is just like that. Of course, Die Hard 4.0 is more action packed, but basically, the principle is the same. I am the hero and you can’t kill me principle.

Here is my favorite line on the movie (I don’t know if I heard it right, though) “Do we have a plan?” “Plan? Get Lucy and kill everybody else.” Yes, that is John’s (Bruce Willis) plan which he successfully did, single handedly, with no police back-ups, all by himself. You’ll see him being chased by a helicopter, being chased by a fighter jet, being kicked in his ass by a kungfu master and they all failed. John will not die. No matter what happens, no one can kill him. He is the hero and all his plans will succeed. All his enemies will be killed. And the police and his back-ups will come only after he killed everybody.

Yes, and that is what happened. All action from the beginning till the end. And they can’t kill him. Well, that gives justice to the title. If you are looking for an action-packed movie, watch this one. Your heart will pound from the beginning till the end.

Last Sunday night naman, we were at Glorietta. Nanood ng Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo. Nakakatuwa. Nakakatawa. May istorya. I’m not a Juday or Ryan Agoncillo fan, maganda lang talaga yung istorya, pati delivery ng mga linya. A must-see movie para sa mga magsing-irog na nagbabalak nang magpakasal.

After watching the movie, we went to Pizza Hut to order some pizza for take out. Napansin ko lang, double standard sila. Iba pa rin ang treatment nila sa foreigner at sa kapwa Filipino. Pagpasok pa lang namin, sinalubong na kami nung isang babae sa harap, at nung sabihin namin na oorder kami for take-out, dumiretso na lang daw kami dun sa counter. Pero habang naghihintay kami ng inorder namin at may dumating na foreigner na oorder din for take-out, aba, at sa halip na sabihin na dumiretso sa counter, pinaupo sa table, kinuha ang order at yung babae ang umorder sa counter. Ang nakakaasar pa, gusto pa kaming paalisin nung isang crew doon sa table na inuupuan namin habang hinihintay yung inorder namin dahil may dumating na mga bagong customer. Aba, hindi na ako pumayag dun. Nung kinausap ako ng crew if we can vacate the table daw for the new customer, sabi ko, hindi pwede. Customer din nila kami and we are waiting for our order. Hindi bale sana kung naglaan sila ng waiting area for take-out. Eh wala naman eh. Alangan namang tumayo kami doon sa harap na parang mga tanga habang hinihintay yung inorder namin, di ba? Well, tameme lang yung crew na sinagot ko. Hehehe. Dahil sa pangyayaring yan, hindi na ulit ako oorder sa branch ng Pizza Hut na yun. Double standard. Iba ang treatment sa foreigner at sa kapwa Filipino. Malulugi rin kayo. =)
