Here’s what I think. Maybe because facebooj is just a mistyped keyword, not necessarily a misspelled keyword. Although we can consider facebooj as a misspelling, it came up because people mistyped it. The searcher knows the right spelling, they just mistyped it because k and j are placed side by side on the keyboard. So when the result came up, they’ll just click the “Did you mean: facebook” link instead of checking the results.

Compare that to six vedios, where people actually typed “six vedios” not because they mistyped it, but because they think that it is really the correct spelling. Arabic usually represents e and i with a single character (the character ya), that’s why some of them misspell video with vedio and $ex with six. When the results came up, they will not immediately click the “Did you mean” link, they will still check the results since they think they typed the correct spelling.

As a result, misspelled keywords give more visitors vs mistyped keywords. This is the first time I tried to optimize for mistyped keywords, and I think, I must focus on misspelled keywords since mistyped keywords doesn’t give that much traffic.

Lesson learned from experience: Focus more on misspelled keywords and less on mistyped keywords.

Since Facebook is so popular nowadays, search for these 3 misspelled keywords is on the rise. Faceboo, Facebooj and Facebool are simple misspellings of Facebook. Faceboo is the Facebook of the forgetfuls who forgot to type the last letter while Facebooj and Facebool are the Facebook of the confused, who can’t hit the letter k on their keyboards.

What does this mean to your blog? Well, it means that if your blog loads slowly, you must do something about it, right? Here are some tips that could help you speed-up your blog.

1. Remove Unnecessary Widgets and Badges. Do you really need all those badges and widgets on your sidebar? Remove them if you don’t really need them.

2. Remove Unnecessary Plugins. Plugins that just adds clutter to your blog, remove them.

3. Use Super Cache Plugin and Enable Gzip Compression. When your pages are gzipped, it’s smaller and will load faster.

4. Optimize Images. Avoid using BMP and TIFF file! Use PNG for screenshots. Use JPG for all photos. Crop unnecessary parts. Resize if needed. If you are not distributing wallpapers, don’t give us a wallpaper-size pictures.

5. Check your site with speed test tools. I recommend Pingdom. See what’s causing the slowness of your blog and do something about it.

Like if I want every mention of the word “make money online” (edit: the plugin added that link! ) on this blog automatically links to this blog homepage, I will just set it there and WordPress will comply automatically. Even category pages can be automatically linked once the category name is mentioned on the post, all you need is to configure it on the plugin settings page.

You still have some control on the plugins, like setting the maximum number of links it will generate in a post and the maximum links for each keyword. It also have exclude option where you can specify pages and posts you don’t want links to be generated automatically.

And one more thing, you are not tied to simple internal linking. You can also use it for external linking. Like if I want every mention of a word to link to an affiliate link or an external site, it’s possible.

As usual, some of them are also part of my last year’s list, which means that they are really that popular. Some keywords are just part of a scandal last year. Facebook-related keywords are new on the list, which I think will continue to bring more traffic this year, so I plan to hijack more of them this year.

The blogger is insinuating that I am telling newbies to optimize for localized keywords ONLY so that I can enjoy less competition on the international keywords.

First, I did not advise newbies to optimize ONLY for those localized keywords, did I? I am advising newbies to ADD local SEO to one of their focus, not to focus on it alone. Why? Because it’s much easier to gain rankings on it. Less competition, the higher chances of ranking even if you are competing with some established blogs already.

Second, I am actually giving myself more competition by sharing it. Instead of only me enjoying traffic from local keywords, I shared it with the newbies so that they can join me. Do you think, they will avoid international keywords after reading it? Of course not. They will just add the local keywords to their arsenal of keywords to optimize.

Now, he says that it’s not advisable to optimize on localized keywords because:

“… even if you will try to use highly localized keywords, the tendency is that you will still be eclipsed by the other blogsites, like his own, and you will not be able to rank high. Remember that Google also considers the authority factor of the site which may be a combination of the blog’s age, link backs and overall number of contents. So how will you fare? Tell me.”

Now, that’s pessimistic thinking. Localized keywords have less competition. You might be outranked by other established blogsites, but it’s easier to reach the first page on localized keywords because you are competing for a less number of established blogs. Yeah, you will always fail if that is your mindset. But if you are really determined to succeed, you can beat the s#*t out of those established bloggers too! However, if you think you can’t beat established bloggers against localized keywords, what more on international keywords? Tell me, what keyword should newbies optimize then if you think they can’t rank on an easier localized keywords?

If you think I am malicious on that post, think again. I give SEO advise on this blog from time to time to help people, not to take advantage of them. I could have kept all the knowledge to myself and enjoy it alone. But I want to help others. I want to change lives in my own way. I’m sure, a lot of bloggers are now enjoying monthly Adsense income because of the things they learned from this blog. I just felt sad that despite all those things I did, some people think I’m fooling them on my advise.

After more than a year of enjoying a Pagerank 4, Google suddenly thinks that this blog doesn’t deserve it. Now, this blog is PR 3. So what? As long as my posts still rank on the SERPs, I don’t care about my PageRank! Anyway, this blog is still #1 on the keyword macuha.

I think, the lost PR went to my wife’s blog, which is now a PR 1 in less than a month of operation. That was fast! You know?

But honestly, I still prefer a higher PR. It’s a nice decoration, you know?
