Other keywords are seasonal and might not send traffic to your blog this year because it already happened, like that daroose keyword or that eraserheads concert keywords (unless there’s reunion part 2). But most of them are searched all-year round, just check them out on Google Trends.

Haven’t blogged on that date, so, this will be my anniversary post. Better late than later. :)

So what happened after 2 years? Comparing my accomplishment on my first year, here’s some of my notable accomplishments for my second year of blogging here:

  • From 270+ RSS subscribers, now at 1450+ subscribers, a 437% increase!
  • From 2000 unique visitors per day, this blog is now averaging 5000 unique visitors per day, a 150% increase.
  • From 368,140 pageviews to 1,196,252 pageviews on my second year, a 225% increase.
  • and finally, I am now a 4-digit Adsense income earner (that’s in USD!).

If you are wondering how I achieved these goals, it’s not a secret actually. I just hijack keywords every time I’m on a hijacker mood. :) Read our e-book for details. ;) and the global translator plugin really helped a lot.

I did, and yes, it indeed said Frozen Account. All my accounts were frozen. The exact message was:

IST19: Restricted Account. Account is Frozen.

I immediately called BDO’s phone banking support at 6318000. They told me that there’s nothing to worry about, they are currently updating their system and accounts will be back soon. However, the customer service representative I talked to told me that she cannot confirm the exact time when it will be back online. Hope, that soon is sooner.

Just making a post to tell other BDO customers that you are not alone. All our accounts are frozen as of this moment.

Good thing I have accounts on other banks. :D

Update: Now, BDO online banking is unreachable giving this reply:

Bad Gateway
Processing of this request was delegated to a server that is not functioning properly.

Eight straight non-working days!

Here are the details on why we have this 8 straight non-working days.

  • December 25, 2008 - Christmas Day
  • December 26, 2008 - Special Non-Working Day
  • December 27, 2008 - Saturday
  • December 28, 2008 - Sunday
  • December 29, 2008 - Special Non-Working Day
  • December 30, 2008 - Rizal Day
  • December 31, 2008 - Special Non-Working Day
  • January 1, 2009 - New Year’s Day

As to why we have December 26 and 29 as special non-working days in the Philippines, here’s what the Proclamation 1463 (Download here and show to your boss! :) ) has to say:

Whereas, in order to enable our countrymen to have a more meaningful observance of Christmas and New Year, to strengthen their ties with one another, it is fitting to declare December 26, 2008 (Friday) and December 29, 2008 (Monday) as additional special (non-working) days throughout the country.

So, that’s it. I’ll spend my holiday season in Batangas. I’ll still update this blog if I found some nice keywords to hijack. :) I already have my Christmas text messages post last year, I think, that will be enough to keep the visitors coming while I’m away. :D

Doogle is no longer in the house because we gave him to my parents in Batangas. Since my wife really wanted a new puppy, we went to a pet shop in Batangas last week to buy a new puppy.

She’s a female pure-bred Shih Tzu, and we named her Ganda. :)

She’s two months old when we got her, complete with vaccine and papers from Philippine Canine Club. She’s friendly, cute, cuddly and makulit.
