Last week, I went to the doctor to check why I was having this headache for 3 days. The doctor found out that I have hypertension. But since our family does not have a history of hypertension, the doctor recommended several laboratory tests to determine where this hypertension is coming from.
I thought, Medicard will shoulder the expenses for the lab tests, but they didn’t. They told me that I was only a member for less than a year and they will not shoulder it because hypertension is listed on their pre-existing condition clause, etc, etc.
The total costs of the laboratory tests added up to almost 10000 pesos. And I paid all of it via credit card. And when the credit card bill comes at the end of this month, my Google check is ready for it. I just received 15000+ peso-check from them today.
The lab test results? I still need to wait till Tuesday. But so far, my health conditions improved after following their recommended diet and taking some medicines.
See, if credit card is used properly, it makes someone’s life easier. Thank God there is credit card. And thank God there is Google Adsense that pays the bills!

that is so expensive for laboratory tests alone. thank God for all the online resources. ironically, i have not jumped on the bandwagon just yet.

@eli ok nga yung credit card, if you know how to use it. saka ko lang naman nga yun nagagamit in times like this. kung shopping lang, cash na lang lagi.
@evi Ang mahal talaga. 5 lab tests kasi including 1 renal ultrasound. Yung isang test, 4500 kagad eh. meron namang mura lang like CBC, ewan ko kung anong mga test yung iba. basta kinuhanan nila ako ng dugo at ihi. at yung ihi, 24 hour collection pa, hindi isang sample lang. buong 24 hours na ihi, pinaipon sa akin. i took all the tests, para hindi ako nanghuhula kung ano na ba lagay ng health ko. at least sa tuesday, magkakaalaman na

ay naku naging prob rin nmin yang pre-existing condition ng medicard nung nconfine ung nanay ko. ang gnwa ng company nmin, ngplit n lng kmi ng healthcard n wla ng pre-existing condition kz hassle s mga members..

Health care expenses are really exorbitant in our country. Just tell yourself it’s worth it because you’ll be able to do something about your condition early enough. It’s better to spend on early tests and medication than regret it later.
