Getting Targeted Traffic At 1 Cent Per Visitor

I’ve been experimenting with Project Wonderful these past few days. And I found a way to maximize my money by advertising on it and get targeted traffic at a rate of almost $0.01/visitor.

The technique is not to advertise on a popular site where the bid war is going on and would take me at least a dollar to get my site on its ad box. Instead, the technique is to advertise on lots of small sites by bidding at $0.01/day on their ad boxes. At least 20 sites per day.

Here are my thoughts behind this technique. First, sites that accept only $0.01 per day advertisement or below are small sites with less traffic and probably new members. The fact that they put a Project Wonderful ad on their site tells me that they want to make money online. 99.9% of owners of these sites will click the Project Wonderful ad on their site because they wanted to know who are advertising on their sites. It’s not illegal to click your own ad on Project Wonderful.

Because of this, even if the site where I advertise is just a small site, I know that at least one visitor will click my ad and will visit this blog, i.e., the owner of that site. Just for 1 cent per day, I get at least one visitor. I say, these are targeted visitors because these are site owners who put Project Wonderful ad on their site wanting to make money online.

Since I blog about SEO and making money online, these are quality traffic, right? ๐Ÿ™‚

And I started bidding on sites automatically by using Project Wonderful’s Campaign feature. That campaign feature is a useful feature because you don’t need to bid manually. You’ll just specify the criteria of the sites you want to bid, your maximum bid and your daily budget, and you’re good to go. As for my campaign, I set it to automatically bid 1 cent to any sites that has a minimum bid of 0 cents, with a daily budget of 20 cents. Now, I’m getting at least 20 additional targeted visitors everyday from Project Wonderful.

At 1 cent per visitor, that’s cheaper than advertising on Adwords.

Of course, SEOing is still better because you get targeted visitors from search engines at 0 cents. ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Oooooh I didn’t know you can set an automatic campaign like that.

  2. This is actually what I’m planning to do and the reason why I signed up for Project Wonderful as well. I hope that I get approved to be a publisher soon because I’m also going to do this in my site – offer my ad spaces starting at 1 cent a day. ๐Ÿ˜€

  3. this looks like a good campaign. isa-isa pero like you said, quality traffic.

i’m proud then that i’m a $0.1 visitor, which is ten times the worth of your regular visitor. ahaha! ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. It would be better to put a good landing page in order to gain to that traffic. And not direct it on the front page. Not unless you want to advertise your front page.

But if you would like to make a page full of affiliate links it will be good.

  6. This makes me laugh. CPD is a total scam. Spend a month on ProjectWonderful and you will see you are paying for search engines and other very low quality leads on sites that have no ranking what so ever. Their system was a nightmare to use. Campaigns would not refresh. The CPD model means youรขโ‚ฌโ„ขll be out bid constantly and end up paying for ads to run only at early AM hours. We saw nearly 100% bounce rates because most of the leads were search engines and crawler. The same money spent on Google got less visitors but 43% of them stayed compared to none from ProjectWonderful.

  7. @Jack… you made me laugh too. first, how can search engines and crawler follow a Project Wonderful ad? don’t you know the code is in Javascript? Don’t you know that search engines crawler cannot follow a javascript code??? If you see people visiting your site from Project Wonderful, they are real people. But for your 100% bounce rate, it’s not PW’s fault people they refer to you don’t want to read your contents. You must be targetting a wrong audience.

Yeah, it’s not a perfect system, but you have all the liberty to do what you want with your ad. If it’s not converting, you can cancel immediately and refine your campaigns.

And with this post, I’m targetting people who wants to make money online. 1 cent per person is not a bad idea, and I believe that these are not search engine crawlers because of the reason I just stated above.

  8. Nice tip you have here. I think I’ll try this one out.
