Toyota Batangas’ Customer Service

I was in Toyota Batangas last Saturday for my car’s 35000 km check-up. I left our house at around 9:30 AM, and reached the place at around 10:00 AM. There were 5 more cars in queue, and my car was serviced at around 11:30 AM. I thought, I’ll be able to leave the place by 12:00 PM, but I was wrong. At exactly 12:00 PM, the service crews were gone. It was lunch break, and they left my car on the service area with the front hood open. So, I guessed they still have so much to do left that they prefer taking their lunch first before continuing their work. So, I waited. I waited until 1:00 PM. I did not take my lunch, they have no canteen around, my car was stucked on the service area and I hate walking on the road just to look for a place to eat.

And then, came 1:00 PM. And to my dismay, do you know what they did? They just close the front hood, and drove the car out of the service area for a test drive. And that’s it. In less than 30 minutes, I am driving my car already going to SM Batangas so that I could finally take my lunch!

Anak ng teteng. Pinaghintay pa nila ako ng isang oras, isasara na lang pala yung hood at itetest drive? Now, that’s customer service, the Toyota Batangas way. Ngayon ko lang naranasan yan dahil ngayon lang ako inabot ng lunch break kapag nagpapacheck-up sa kanila. Pero, hindi ba nakakaasar? Can’t they extend another 30 minutes before they took their lunch ganung patapos na naman yung ginagawa nila sa kotse ko? Pinaghintay pa nila ako ng isang oras. Pwede naman nilang i-offset yun, di ba? Yup, naghintay ako ng isang oras, skipped my lunch just to see them close the front hood and test drive my car afterwards.

Well, every time naman na magpacheck-up ako sa kanila, there’s an evaluation paper that is sent to me via postal mail from their main office asking me for my feedback. Abangan na lang nila ang score ko sa kanila.

Yun lang!
