The Virtual SEO Contest

Ever wonder why would almost every probloggers blog about the same topic at the same day especially when the topic is hot? Like, when Western Union was offered in the Philippines for Adsense publishers, Yugatech already mentioned it on his blog, why will others blog about it too, where in fact, they were just repeating the information, with just a little opinion added to the content?

Well, aside from telling people their side of the story, I could see them virtually fighting an SEO contest. There are 10 spot on the first page of Google, if you blog early, Google can index your blog post earlier and you could enjoy the traffic that topic could bring.

I enjoyed some results of these virtual SEO contests too. My blog is on the first page of Google for iPod Touch Philippines. I also enjoyed the traffic for gretchen john scandal during those times that the topic was hot. I even blogged about Camille Prats and ranked on the first page for the camille prats pregnant keyword. Hehehe.

That’s how I do things on this blog. Aside from researching keywords, I’m always on the lookout for another virtual SEO contest. An upcoming controversy is worth blogging if it will drive your blog more visitors, right? Hehehe.

Well, that mini-SEO contest I started will train you how to do it. You might not win the $150, but the knowledge you’ll gain will help your blog get some real traffic by joining some virtual SEO contest on the blogosphere. Just always be on the lookout for keywords and blog as fast as you can when you found one. 🙂 In the real world, you don’t even have to be #1 on Google, just hitting the first page for a popular keyword is good enough. Being #1 is just an added bonus.

If you haven’t joined my mini-SEO contest, join na! And learn from your experience. And of course, earn more from your advertisers. And be happy. And you know it. Clap your hands. 🙂
