It happened two weeks ago. While in Batangas, I noticed that the Super Unleaded gasoline of Shell increased from Php 31.xx to Php 35.xx.
There was no news of the price increase that night on why there’s an increase. I thought it was a nationwide increase. On our way back to Manila, I found out that the prices of gasoline in Manila did not increase.
Last weekend, the price of unleaded gasoline in Batangas was still at Php 35.xx. I checked the other gasoline stations, Petron and Caltex, and both of them have the same Php 35.xx price for the unleaded gasoline. So, instead of buying gasoline in Batangas before going back to Manila which I usually do, I changed my habit. I am now gassing-up at Shell SLEX before going back to Batangas because of the 4-peso difference.
However, my fellow kababayans there have no choice. They are tied to an expensive Php 35.xx price. What happened? Ano gang nangyare? I think, Governor Vi should ask these oil companies to explain why there’s such a difference?
Ala eh, bakit ga mahal dine ang gasolina sa Batangas? Di naman kami mayaman eh.
